1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using EWEPIP (ewepip.net), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. These terms apply to all visitors, users, buyers, sellers, and contributors.
2. Description of Service
EWEPIP provides a marketplace, business tools, point-of-sale system, social suite, and AI assistant for independent workers and small businesses. Our services include but are not limited to:
- A marketplace for buying and selling products and services
- Point-of-sale (POS) system for restaurants and retail
- Social platforms: PipChirp, PipTube, PipHerd, PipStream
- Talk to EWE — an AI assistant with 161+ tools
- Business calculators, pour cost tools, and planning features
- Berkeley gamification and achievement system
- Cross-domain ecosystem navigation via OMNIA
The free tier provides access to core tools at no cost. Premium tiers ($9/mo and $37/mo) unlock additional features.
3. Account Registration
Some features require a free account. When creating an account, you agree to:
- Provide accurate information
- Keep your password secure
- Not create multiple accounts for deceptive purposes
- Notify us if your account is compromised
Many tools (calculators, browse, search) do not require an account and are freely accessible to all visitors.
4. Marketplace Rules
For Sellers
- Listings must be for real products or services you can deliver
- Pricing must be accurate and transparent
- You are responsible for fulfilling orders and handling customer service
- EWEPIP charges a maximum 8% marketplace fee (sellers keep 92%+)
- You retain ownership of your product listings and brand assets
For Buyers
- Payment is processed through our secure payment system
- Disputes between buyers and sellers should first be resolved directly
- EWEPIP may mediate disputes but is not responsible for seller fulfillment
Prohibited Marketplace Activity
- Fraud — fake listings, bait-and-switch, or deceptive pricing
- Illegal goods — anything prohibited by applicable law
- Counterfeit products — items falsely branded or misrepresented
- Price manipulation — artificial reviews, fake sales volume
- Harassment — abusive behavior toward buyers, sellers, or staff
We reserve the right to remove listings and suspend accounts that violate these rules.
5. POS System Terms
The EWEPIP POS system is provided for legitimate business operations. You are responsible for:
- Complying with local tax and business regulations
- Maintaining accurate transaction records
- Securing access to your POS terminal and employee accounts
- Ensuring payment processing meets PCI compliance standards
EWEPIP is not liable for business losses due to POS system downtime. The offline sync feature is provided as a convenience and should not replace proper backup procedures.
6. Social Suite Rules
PipChirp, PipTube, PipHerd, and PipStream are social platforms within the EWEPIP ecosystem. By using them, you agree to:
- Not post illegal, threatening, or harassing content
- Not spam, manipulate algorithms, or create fake engagement
- Not impersonate other users or businesses
- Respect intellectual property rights of others
- Not upload malware or malicious content
You retain ownership of content you create. By posting publicly, you grant EWEPIP a license to display your content on our platforms. You can delete your content at any time.
7. AI-Generated Content
Talk to EWE, our AI assistant, provides advisory content only. AI-generated suggestions, tool outputs, and recommendations should be treated as a starting point, not as professional advice. Specifically:
- Business advice is general guidance, not tailored professional consulting
- Financial calculations are estimates and should be verified
- Legal information is educational and does not constitute legal advice
- Marketing suggestions should be reviewed before publication
Always verify important business decisions with qualified professionals when the stakes are high.
8. User Content and Ownership
You retain all rights to content you create using our tools. Business plans, marketing copy, invoices, menus, and any other output generated through your use of EWEPIP tools belong entirely to you.
You are free to use, modify, share, or commercialize anything you create with our tools without restriction or attribution to EWEPIP.
9. Pricing and Billing
EWEPIP offers multiple tiers:
- Free — Core tools, marketplace browsing, basic features ($0/mo)
- Pro — Advanced tools, analytics, priority support ($9/mo)
- Business — Full POS, social suite, API access ($37/mo)
Subscriptions can be cancelled at any time. No long-term contracts. Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis within 30 days of purchase.
10. Limitation of Liability
EWEPIP, Salmagundi Services LLC, its creators, contributors, and affiliates shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages resulting from:
- Your use of or inability to use our tools or services
- Business decisions made using information from our tools
- Marketplace transactions between buyers and sellers
- POS system downtime or transaction processing errors
- Any AI-generated content or recommendations
- Interactions with other users on our social platforms
11. Intellectual Property
The EWEPIP name, logo, design, Berkeley mascot, and platform code are protected. You may not copy, reproduce, or redistribute our platform as your own product. You are welcome to link to EWEPIP and recommend it to others.
All tool output that you generate belongs to you (see Section 8).
12. Third-Party Links
EWEPIP contains links to other websites within our ecosystem (talentliberation.org, company.ewepip.net, upip.academy, kuckledragger.com) and to external resources. Each linked site has its own terms of service and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the content or practices of third-party sites.
13. Modifications
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Continued use of the site after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms. Our core commitment — that the free tier remains free forever — will not change.
14. Governing Law
These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United States. Any disputes arising from the use of EWEPIP shall be resolved in accordance with applicable federal and state law.
